A couple of rough days

Over the weekend here it was about 90 degrees both days, and has slowly cooled off a bit since. Most people in this area – including us – don’t have A/C, since it so rarely gets this hot. It was about 85 in our house, and Nora hated it! She couldn’t nap well, and couldn’t sleep well at night. On Sun and Mon nights she screamed and cried from about 9pm (her normal bedtime) to midnight. Ugh! I was dying. Finally last night (Tue), after getting advice on one of the iV boards I belong to, we decided to try to put her down for the night at 7:30. It worked! (Thanks, Melissa!) She still had a pretty fitful night, but I was so relieved to not have to deal with multiple hours of crying again. She’s also in a much better mood today, though she’s sleeping a ton. I’m guessing she’s playing catch up now.

I hope everyone has a good Fourth of July! We’re planning on spending the afternoon with John’s family, though we have no plans for the evening yet. Fireworks are legal in our area, so we’ll probably set up a couple lawn chairs and watch the mini shows as usual. : ) We’ll see how Nora deal with the noise, but I hope she likes the lights!
